Many of us have written a check to a favorite charity for $10, $25, $50, put it in an envelope and sent it off, and the only thing we get back is another request for money. Animal Kind International wants to be a different kind of charity.

We think it's important for you to know how your money is spent and how your supplies are used. We want you to feel that you are part of the effort to improve lives for animals in other countries, since most of the people listed here can't continue to do what they do without your help.

Through this site, you can be in direct contact with people who are working on the ground for animals. We have personal knowledge of the people and programs on this site. You can interact with the people who are doing the hands-on animal welfare work, so that you know just where your support is going.

Namibia SPCAs join Animal Kind International network

Supporters of AKI have an amazing opportunity to help small, local animal welfare organizations in Namibia.  Without the help of Erika von Gierszewski we never would have found these organizations—and wouldn’t have been able to make the important connections that Erika already has, to ensure funds we raise go directly to helping the animals in need.
