Our Friendly Audits Program, providing virtual volunteers to select animal welfare organizations, is helping 3 additional organizations in Africa and Latin America/Caribbean with technical and admin support.
Thanks to your support to AKI, in 2024, we are helping a total of 21 organizations working in 13 countries. Strengthening local animal rescue and protection organizations is the key to systemic, long-term improvements in animal welfare.

We've added a new Partner Organization! As of January 2024, Twala Trust in Zimbabwe is an AKI Partner. They join The Six Freedoms-Ghana, who became an AKI Partner Organization in January 2023, as our two newest Partners.

Interested in being a volunteer in our "Friendly Audit" Program? As part of our efforts to strengthen animal welfare organizations in poor countries, mainly in Africa, we're conducting "Friendly Audits" of select organizations to identify their shortcomings and needs. Together with the organization, we identify their needs and we match a volunteer mentor to the organization to help address them. Currently, 3 volunteers are helping 3 organizations build websites, strengthen their social media presence, edit educational material, and search for grants. If you're interested in volunteering, get in touch to discuss how you can help strengthen Africa's animal welfare organizations. As of 2024, we're including Latin America/Caribbean in our Friendly Audits Program!
