Featured Friends at the Nairobi Feline Sanctuary

In this post, Rachel Kabue, Founder& Director of NFS, shares stories of four amazing felines who have found a permanent loving home at the Nairobi Feline Sanctuary!

Jet was put in a box when she was barely two weeks old and given to a security guard for disposal. He in turn threw her in some bushes next to the road. Another security guard who knew I rescued cats brought her to me and I took her in. She was so tiny that I had to keep her inside my blouse to keep her warm. She's a calm, friendly beautiful soul and we love her very much.

Nikki Sixx has been with us since she was a kitten. I named her after the famous rockstar by the same name because she's always been feisty. She has taken the leadership role in the sanctuary and will always let me know when something's wrong. She runs a tight ship!

Bruce came to us as a kitten. He has always been sickly and has some form of bronchitis that seems resistant to medicine. He's a happy kitty otherwise and loves his home here at NFS.

Enoch is about six months old. I found him in a ditch four months ago one rainy night looking for food. I had no carrier as I had just gone out for a walk. I decided to try carrying him in my arms and he offered no resistance! We chatted all the way home and we have become very close. He loves the kittens I'm fostering and he's actually teaching them cat stuff.

Nairobi Feline Sanctuary is the only sanctuary in Nairobi dedicated entirely to the care and well-being of cats. We are committed to educating the public on the proper care of cats and the importance of spaying, neutering and vaccination for healthy pets. All residents at Nairobi Feline Sanctuary are spayed, neutered, given medical check ups and lots of love! A BIG THANK YOU to Animal Kind International for your support of Nairobi Feline Sanctuary!
