AKI's 8th annual (2025) Grant Program for African & Latin American/Caribbean

Animal Welfare Organizations 

 

Previously (2018-2024) our Grant Program only funded Africa-based animal welfare organizations. This year, for the 1st time, we are opening up the grant program to Latin American/Caribbean (LAC) organizations. This 1st year, a pilot program, we will consider LAC animal welfare organizations by invitation only.

​Our grant program is intended to reach effective animal welfare organizations, beyond our Partner Organizations, and supports them to implement high impact projects aimed at improving the lives of animals (mainly dogs, cats, donkeys, 

and/or horses, and secondarily "livestock": cows, pigs, goats, chickens, etc.). 

 

If you are interested in applying to our 2025 Grant Program, please read the FAQs at the link below to review eligibility criteria and application and grantee requirements. To see the types of projects we're interested in supporting, you may wish to review our previous grant projects under "Our Grant Program" on the AKI website.

If you are with an Africa-based animal welfare organization that meets the eligibility criteria, you are welcome to apply. 

If you are with an LAC-based animal welfare organization that meets the criteria, please get in touch so that we can add your organization to the list of potential invitees.

We will accept applications from May 25 to June 22.
