Uganda SPCA, our Partner Organization, relies on Animal-Kind International for their operating costs, but it's your donations to AKI that are keeping the USPCA running!

From January through June, funding from AKI has paid for Uganda SPCA staff salaries for:

Mary, Irene, Tadeo, Lydia, Moses, Obote, Janu, Aketch, Kenneth, Simon, and USPCA Manager Jackie.

Transport costs to pick up cats and dogs in need of rescue have been covered by AKI:

From January through June, the USPCA has rescued animals in Rubaga, Kabalagala, Makindye, Bugolobi, Kyanbada, Lubowa, Ntinda, Kiwatule, Kansanga, Bukoto, MMengo Kisaasi, Kyaanja, and Kikuyka.

Cleaning materials, firewood to cook pet food, and water for the shelter--all of these necessities have been paid for, from January through June, with your donations to AKI.

Most important for the cats and dogs, AKI has covered the cost of all food from January through June (except for food donated directly to the shelter), including dry food and tins of cat and dog food, minced meat, rice, maize meal, and other specialty food. Thanks to our Pet Food Fund, USPCA cats and dogs get fed two substantial meals a day and never have to worry where their next meal will come from. The USPCA Pet Food Fund relies on your donations!

The dogs look so healthy because they get 2 good meals a day--and they've been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, given parasite treatments, and love--all the things a dog needs to thrive.

All the good care the USPCA cats and dogs get-- thanks to the staff, thanks to the nutritious food, thanks to being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites--all of those important things are thanks to our AKI donors and all of that leads to this, happy adoptions:

In April, this kitty went to a home-and was already making herself at home while still at the shelter!

We hope and think that we'll soon be able to re-start our move to the new USPCA shelter location. After a recent visit from the National Environmental Management Authority, we felt very positive and we anticipate hearing from them shortly.
